Garlic rye bread

I’m loving rye bread at the moment, the texture is so good and it’s proven to keep you fuller for longer than normal bread. Rye is also a supergrain. With high levels of iron, calcium, potassium, zinc, vitamin E and a variety of B vitamins, bread doesn’t get much healthier. So here’s a healthier version of the yummy (but not so good for you) garlic bread!

Serves 1

-Two slices of rye bread

-One clove of garlic

-Half a tablespoon of butter

-A couple of sprigs or coriander (or another herb of your choice if preferred)

  1. chop the garlic and coriander as small as you can. Add to a bowl along with the butter and cream together until combined.
  2. Spread onto the slices of rye bread and pop under the grill for around 5 minutes or until the butter has melted into the bread. That’s it! garlic bread ready to go.
